Iris reticulata 'Mars Landing'
Very unusual colour scheme for a reticulata Iris, contrasting maroon and yellow and spotted. A nice compact shape with broad flowers.
These special reticulata's hybridized by Alan McMurtrie are gaining popularity fast. After the 3 varieties we were able to offer last year, we are proud that we have added 6 more this season. All these varieties are cultivated with supervision and cooperation of Alan McMurtie by Dutch growers. You can find all the hybrids introduced by Alan on his website: www.reticulatas.com. Here you can also find more information about the ones below and there parentage. Very informative and lots of photo's. Reticulata Iris prefer a sunny to light spot with sandy, well-drained soil. If you have a more heavy soil, you can mix it with some sand.
